Vanilla survival at its core, extended by more than a hundred mods. Everything below works the same on Java and Bedrock.
Cooking
Farmer's Delight and its companion mods add cooking pots, cutting boards and 459 foods.
Rebuilt structures
YUNG's dungeons, strongholds and temples, Towns & Towers villages, and new terrain from Terralith.
Boss bounties
The Wither, the Ender Dragon and the Warden reward every player who dealt at least 10% of the damage.
Trading posts
Players run their own barter shops from a lectern. Items trade for items; there is no currency.
Goals
Daily, weekly and lifetime goals with streaks and trophies, all tracked in
/goals.
Graves and time-savers
A grave keeps your items when you die. Vein mining, tree felling and right-click harvesting save time.
How to join
Java players need one file, the StudioShawn pack. Bedrock players need nothing at all.
Install Fabric Loader
Download the free installer from fabricmc.net, keep Client selected, choose Minecraft 26.3 and select Install.

One file that contains every mod the server requires and sets up its own configuration.
Optional: the Extras pack
Performance and comfort mods: Sodium, Iris shader support, Jade, Zoomify, and Xaero's Minimap from your second launch. It goes in the same mods folder and is never required to join.

Minecraft loads mods from a folder called mods. Choose your computer for step-by-step help.
- Hold the Windows key and press R. A small box called Run opens.
- Type
%appdata%\.minecraftinto the box and press Enter. A folder called .minecraft opens. - Look for a folder called mods. If there isn't one, right-click an empty space in the window, choose New → Folder, and name it
mods(all lowercase). - Drag
studioshawn-263.jarfrom your Downloads folder into mods. Don't unzip it and don't rename it.
Windows may hide the .jar ending and show the file as studioshawn-263. It's the same file.
- Click an empty spot on your desktop so Finder is active.
- In the menu bar at the top of the screen, choose Go → Go to Folder… (or press Shift + Command + G).
- Paste
~/Library/Application Support/minecraftand press Return. - Look for a folder called mods. If there isn't one, choose File → New Folder and name it
mods. - Drag

If your browser asks whether to keep the downloaded file, choose Keep. You don't need to open the .jar; it only has to be in the folder.
- Open your file manager (Files, Dolphin, Thunar or similar).
- Press Ctrl + L, type
~/.minecraftand press Enter. The folder is hidden; Ctrl + H shows hidden folders. - Look for a folder called mods. If there isn't one, create a new folder named
mods. - Move

Using the Flatpak launcher? Your folder is~/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraftinstead.Downloaded the Extras pack too? It goes in the same mods folder.
Open the Minecraft Launcher and join
- Open the Minecraft Launcher, the app you normally start Minecraft from.
- On the Minecraft: Java Edition page, click the version menu next to the green Play button and choose fabric-loader-26.3.
- Click Play. If the launcher asks you to confirm playing with mods, confirm. The first start takes a little longer while the pack sets itself up.
- In the game, click Multiplayer, then Add Server.
- Type studioshawn.net into Server Address, give it any name, and click Done.
- Select the server you just added and click Join Server.
Next time, open the launcher, pick fabric-loader-26.3 and press Play. The server stays in your list.
Open Servers
From the main menu choose Play, then the Servers tab, then Add Server.
Enter the address
Server address studioshawn.net and port 19132. Any name works.
Join
No download or add-on is needed. Your client receives the server's textures automatically on first connection.

Common questions
Do Java and Bedrock players play together?
Yes. Everyone shares the same world, chat and economy, whichever edition they play.
Why does Java need a download and Bedrock does not?
The server adds new blocks and items. Java clients must have the matching mods to see them; Bedrock clients receive translated textures from the server automatically.
Can I use my own performance mods?
Yes. The Extras pack is optional, and if you already run a mod it contains, the newer copy is used once.
How do I report a problem?
Use /bugreport in game, or post in the Discord. Reports reach the staff either way.
