Java players need this one-file pack to join. The password isn't posted anywhere — get it from Shawn or a friend who plays here.

After downloading — setup

  1. Install Fabric for Minecraft 26.2.
Grab the installer from fabricmc.net/use/installer (on Windows, use the .exe). Run it, leave Client selected, pick Minecraft version 26.2, click Install. A new profile called fabric-loader-26.2 appears in your Minecraft launcher.
  2. Drop the ONE file you downloaded into your mods folder.
That's it — no unzipping, no config copying. studioshawn-262.jar contains the whole pack and installs its own config on first launch. Create the mods folder if it doesn't exist. Finding the game folder:
    Windows

Press Win + R, type %appdata%\.minecraft and hit Enter — that's your game folder. Drop studioshawn-262.jar into the mods folder there.

    macOS

In Finder press Cmd + Shift + G (Go to Folder) and paste ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft — that's your game folder. Drop studioshawn-262.jar into the mods folder there.

    Linux

Your game folder is ~/.minecraft in your home directory (it's hidden — press Ctrl + H in your file manager to show it). Same location on every distro. Drop studioshawn-262.jar into the mods folder there.

  3. Play. Launch the fabric-loader-26.2 profile and join studioshawn.net.

What's inside the jars

studioshawn-262.jar (required)

Everything needed to join. Already run one of these mods? No problem — the game loads whichever copy is newer, once.

NVIDIA card? Nvidium can add a lot of FPS — check the requirement
You need an NVIDIA GTX 16-series or newer. That means GTX 1650 / 1660, any RTX 20-series, or anything newer. Nvidium runs on mesh shaders, which NVIDIA only added in the Turing generation.

It will do nothing for you on a GTX 10-series or 900-series, on anything in the GT line (GT 710, GT 1030 and friends), or on any AMD or Intel GPU. On those it detects the missing feature and disables itself — it will not break your game or make it slower, it just sits there. If your card is not on the list above, skip this one.

On a card that does qualify it replaces Sodium's terrain renderer with a GPU-driven one and can hold a much higher render distance at the same FPS. Sodium already ships in the Extras jar, so Nvidium slots in beside it — no extra setup.

Two things worth knowing before you install it: the 26.2 builds are still beta, and the author warns it uses unusual GPU features that can crash the game. It also switches itself off while Iris shaders are running — so it is shaders or Nvidium, not both. Delete the jar to undo it.

Get Nvidium from Modrinth — not bundled, grab it yourself.

About the minimap + more mods

The extras jar also carries Xaero's Minimap (cave layers, waypoints, death points) and installs it on first launch — it appears from your SECOND game start onward. Entity radar is disabled server-side for everyone, fair and square. Already run your own Xaero? We leave it alone.

Want even more? These are great but their licenses don't allow us to bundle them — grab them from Modrinth yourself: EntityCulling, 3D Skin Layers, Not Enough Animations.
