2.0.2Hotfix

Stellarity items from before 26.3 updated

Fixes Stellarity items made before the 26.3 update that showed as a missing-texture block, and older Stellarity materials that would not stack with new ones.

Fixes

  • An Enderman's Hand or Shepherd's Pie from before the update looks right again. Older copies showed on Java as the purple-and-black missing-texture block, with no name or description, and on Bedrock the hand appeared as Popped Chorus Fruit. Stellarity renamed both items in its 26.3 version, and copies made earlier were left behind.

    • Older items change to the current ones by themselves: in your inventory and ender chest when you log in, and in a chest, barrel or shulker box when you open it. Stack sizes and custom names stay as they are.
  • Older Stellarity materials stack with new ones. Hallowed Ingots, Chorus Plating, Enderite Shards, Enderite Smithing Templates, Starlight Soot and Sand Runes from before the update are changed to the current versions the same way, so they stack with ones found since. Older Life Crystals, Soaring Insignias and Endonomicons are updated too.

    • Void Pendants are left as they are, so an older pendant keeps every ore it is attuned to.
2.0.1Hotfix

The Java pack launches on Minecraft 26.3

Fixes the 26.3 pack crashing the game before the title screen. Java players need to download the pack again; Bedrock players are not affected.

Fixes

  • The Java pack no longer crashes the game while it loads. With studioshawn-263.jar installed, Minecraft 26.3 closed with a crash report before reaching the title screen, with or without the Extras pack. A library bundled with Spice of Fabric relied on part of the game that 26.3 removed; it is now switched off.

    • Spice of Fabric itself is unchanged: eating the same food again and again still restores less, as before.

Updating

  • Download the pack again from studioshawn.net and replace studioshawn-263.jar in your mods folder with the new copy. The file name is the same, so delete the old one first.

    • With the Extras pack installed, Mod Menu lists the fixed pack as StudioShawn.net Pack 26.3.1.
    • The Extras pack is unchanged and does not need downloading again.
  • The Extras pack needs the main pack beside it. On its own it stops at a screen saying Xaero's Minimap requires Fabric API, which comes in the main pack. With both in mods, the minimap installs itself on the first launch and appears from the second.

    • Bobby and Better Mount HUD still have no 26.3 release, so the Extras pack goes without them for now.
  • Bedrock players need no changes.

2.0.0Major update

Minecraft 26.3: Skills, more bosses and Bedrock parity

The server moves to Minecraft 26.3. Skills and talents arrive, Boss Bounty grows from three bosses to 22, the Codex shows drop chances with their conditions, and most of the remaining differences between Java and Bedrock are closed.

Joining

  • Java players need the 26.3 pack. Download it from studioshawn.net, run the Fabric installer for Minecraft 26.3, and replace the old pack in your mods folder with the new one. A 26.2 game cannot join.

    • The download is open to everyone; no password is needed.
    • The optional Extras pack is updated for 26.3 too. Bobby has no 26.3 release yet, so it is left out for now.
    • Updating from 26.2: delete studioshawn-262.jar, studioshawn-extras-262.jar and xaerominimap-fabric-26.2-26.4.2.jar from your mods folder first.
  • Bedrock players need no changes. The server accepts Bedrock 26.30 to 26.51, as before.

Skills

  • /skills: seven skills (Mining, Foraging, Farming, Combat, Fishing, Cooking and Enchanting) that level from 1 to 50 as you play. Every level adds a small bonus to match the skill, such as faster mining for Mining or more melee damage for Combat.

    • What you have already done counts. Skill XP is worked out from your statistics, so you start at the levels your past play has earned.
    • Each skill has its own pace: level 10 takes about two hours of ordinary play at that activity, level 50 about a hundred hours of dedicated effort.
    • Cooking counts food made by a recipe. Taking food out of a crate or storage block does not count.
    • Your progress shows on the action bar as you earn XP.
  • /talents: every five levels in any skill earn a talent point, to spend on 14 talents such as Vigour (more health), Ferocity (melee damage), Prospector (mining speed), Reach and Fortune's Favour (luck). You can reset your talents at any time, for free.

  • Skills are tied into the rest of the server. A claimed goal pays XP in the skill it trains, every Boss Bounty pays Combat XP, and the Codex lists the XP each item gives.

Boss Bounty

  • Boss Bounty covers 22 bosses (previously 3: the Wither, the Ender Dragon and the Warden). Deal 10% or more of the damage and you get your own loot roll, as before, plus Combat XP.

    • New: all seven Dragonkind dragons, from Fledgeling to Ascended; Stellarity's Empress of Light (by night, by day and Radiant) and the Shulking; Incendium's Hovering Inferno and Sanctum Guardian; Katter's Arachne, Theron, Rústa, Raj and Tenku; and the Sealing Ghast from Dungeons and Taverns.
    • The number of loot rolls scales with the boss, from 2 for the Sanctum Guardian to 10 for an Ascended dragon. Most bosses pay out up to five times an hour.
    • A boss is identified the moment it dies, so each variant pays its own reward, and a boss that leaves or despawns pays nothing.

Goals and shops

  • Rerolling a goal takes a tap. Tap an unfinished daily or weekly goal and a confirmation shows the swap, along with how long until your next reroll. It replaces /goals reroll.

    • You still get one reroll per board, and only for a goal you have not started.
  • /shop find searches every trading post for an item and lists the posts that sell it or want it, with the price, stock, owner and location. Tap a post to put its location in chat.

  • Item search on Bedrock, when setting up a trading post, opens a text box to type in, as the Codex does.

The Codex

  • Drop chances now include their conditions, worked out from the loot the server actually rolls. The Astral Crate, for example, is a 1.36% chance per catch in open water on a full-moon night (2.91% with Luck of the Sea III).

  • Each item page shows the skill XP it gives, such as "+2 Mining per block mined", in game and on the website.

  • Search on Bedrock opens a text box to type in, and Back returns you to the page and category you came from.

Bedrock parity

  • Modded biomes show their own grass, leaf, water and sky colours and their own weather, each drawn as the closest vanilla biome. All of them were drawn as ocean, so it rained where Java players saw snow.

  • Modded wings glide. Stellarity's Dragon, Empress and Phantom Wings and Dragonkind's Dragonscale Wings work like an elytra.

    • Bedrock can only glide with a vanilla elytra, so while you wear the wings in survival your own chest slot shows a plain elytra with the wings' name. Everyone else sees the wings.
  • Modded armour shows when worn. Stellarity's Champion, Floral, Hallowed and Shulker sets, Dragonkind's Dragonhide set and the wings were invisible on the wearer.

  • The Soaring Insignia works: you hover, rise and sink as Java players do.

  • Modded blocks appear as themselves. Stellarity's building blocks and altars, the Satchel of Voids, Pixie in a Jar and Dragonkind's Dragonheart Anchor are real blocks rather than a vanilla block with a floating item, and the cooking pot, canvas rug, safety net, rope fences and copper patina no longer use stand-ins.

  • Modded blocks have their real shape when you move: you no longer stand in mid-air above a skillet or bump into the empty space beside a rope fence.

  • Item icons are the real ones for almost every modded item, held items are drawn in 3D, and dropped items keep their 3D look.

    • The Dragonskull Shield and the Endonomicon keep vanilla icons so that they still work as a shield and a book.
  • Farmer's Delight: food cooking on stoves, cutting boards and skillets is visible, the cooking pot's menu opens, and thrown rotten tomatoes can be seen in flight.

  • Datapack food and tools behave as on Java. Stellarity's and Go Fish's food takes its real time to eat and gives its effects, and stack sizes and durability match. The Shepherd's Pie, for one, gave nothing when eaten.

  • Stellarity's paintings hang at their real size, as a vanilla painting of the same size; each painting item names the original and its artist. All of them were drawn as one small painting.

  • The Empress of Light and Pixies are visible, drawn as allays. Bedrock players could not see them.

  • Item descriptions fit the screen. Items with a hidden enchantment, such as the Prismatic Pearl, show their description instead of the enchantment's name, wrapped to the width of the screen.

  • The action bar no longer flickers when it shows a mob's health or your skill XP, and the "Looking at" panel updates without blinking.

  • Powered copper patina glows and gives off sparks, as on Java.

  • Evokers walk properly. They slid along with their legs still, because of an outdated model sent by Geyser.

  • Still different on Bedrock: placed ropes look like vines (you can still climb them), Farmer's Delight canvas signs look like vanilla signs, graves look like a player head, and Simple Voice Chat is Java only.

Minecraft 26.3

  • Poplar, a complete new wood set, from logs and leaves to doors, signs and boats.

    • Its biome, the Dappled Forest, does not generate here, because Terralith shapes this server's world. The Wandering Trader sells poplar saplings and logs.
  • Abandoned Camps, with loot to find, appear in forests, taigas, jungles, savannas, swamps and similar biomes.

    • Like every new structure, they appear only in terrain that has not been explored yet.
  • Cushions in all 16 colours, to place and sit on.

  • Also new: Straw Beds, and slabs and stairs for every colour of concrete and wool.

Mod updates

  • Stellarity 6.0: the Empress of Light has a new model, with her wings built in. New: Flavors of The Void, a cookbook caught as treasure while void fishing, and the Prismatic Collection advancement for collecting every Pixie in a Jar.

  • Dungeons and Taverns 6.0 adds new structures, including surface dungeons, an illager treehouse, Nether skeleton camps, crypts and conduit ruins.

  • Every other mod moves to its 26.3 release.

Rumination

  • Rumination is the server's AI. Ask it anything about the server with !Rumination in chat.

  • Rumination knows the server better. It reads each mod's own documentation, the skills settings and the Codex's drop chances, so its answers match how this server is set up.

  • New players get a shorter welcome, and the tab list says where to ask for help.

Fixes

  • The Bell Flower does what its description says. While you hold it, mobs and animals within 24 blocks are revealed to you alone: Java players see an outline, Bedrock players see their name tags. It did nothing before, on either edition.

  • Stellarity's pies are eaten when used on a block. Farmer's Delight placed them as a plain pumpkin pie.

  • A Stellarity block that does not fit where you place it goes back to your inventory instead of dropping on the ground.

  • Item frames in structures look like item frames again, and their item goes to whoever takes it first. They looked like chest minecarts that could not be opened.

  • Structure chests show their loot on the first click. They closed and had to be opened again.

  • The mob health bar no longer appears for things that are not mobs: Lootr's item frames and minecarts, thrown glow sticks and tomatoes, rope arrows and grave experience.

  • Trade Shops, /mail, /gamble, /overflow, /goals and /companion were audited for ways to lose or duplicate items, and every case found is fixed.

    • Among them: a shop screen left open after its shop was removed could still hand out stock, a mail parcel could be claimed twice, and a reward could be lost if the server restarted at the wrong moment.
    • If a shop's price changes while you are looking at it, you are asked to confirm the new price before you pay.
    • Boss Bounty's hourly limit holds across a server restart.
  • Blocks broken by a hammer's area count towards your statistics and Mining XP, and cost hunger like any other block.

  • /settings no longer plays its click sound to players nearby.

Removed

  • Ube's Delight is removed: it is no longer maintained and has no 26.3 release. Its wild crops disappear from the world, and its items from inventories.

  • Terracotta Stairs is removed. None of its blocks remain in the world; any of its items in inventories disappear.

Website

  • studioshawn.net has a new design, with these patch notes on their own tab and a Codex that loads the whole item list at once and works on phones.

1.0.0Major update

Minecraft 26.2: Bedrock returns, and the largest update yet

The server moves to Minecraft 26.2 and Bedrock cross-play is restored. This is the largest update to date: boss bounties, a rebuilt Wither, blood moons, around a thousand advancements, the Codex, companions, trade shops, mail, graves and more.

Joining

  • Bedrock players can join again. Cross-play is fully restored: add studioshawn.net with port 19132. Modded items, blocks and menus render properly instead of appearing blank or untextured.

  • Java players need the new pack. Download the one-file pack from studioshawn.net (the password is unchanged), and delete the old jar first.

  • The optional Extras jar, just below the download button, needs no password. It carries Sodium, Iris shader support, Jade and the minimap.

    • With an NVIDIA GTX 16-series card or newer, see the note on the site about Nvidium, which can add a lot of frames. Older cards can skip it; it does nothing for them.

Things to fight

  • Boss Bounty. Bosses reward everyone who actually fought them. Deal 10% or more of the group's damage and you receive your own loot roll, delivered straight to your inventory, along with a title. A single arrow earns nothing.

    • A full inventory loses nothing: /overflow holds the reward, and /overflow pickup claims it, even after you log back in.
  • The Wither is rebuilt as a staged fight with 600 health, distinct phases, dashes and summoned minions. Bring friends.

    • It no longer destroys terrain, so fighting it near your base will not crater it.
  • Blood Moons. Every fourth full moon, hostile mobs become faster, tougher and more aggressive, and drop Moon Essence. Java players see the sky turn red; Bedrock players see red fog.

Things to chase

  • Around a thousand new advancements covering mining, the Nether, farming, combat and building. Most are long, multi-step ladders rather than one-offs.

  • Grim Kingdoms: 65 castle-scale ruins, plus new igloos, generating beyond the explored frontier. Expect to travel 10,000 to 20,000 blocks to reach them, so pack a boat.

    • A few one-of-a-kind treasures are out there. First found, first kept.
  • /goals: daily, weekly and lifetime objectives, with streaks and trophies for completing them.

The Codex

  • /codex answers every item: what it is, how it is crafted, what it is used for, and every place it drops from, with the real percentage: which structure, which chest, which dimension, and which mod added it.

  • It also covers items with no crafting recipe, such as Stellarity's Altar of the Accursed gear, and shows where blocks generate naturally.

  • Everything in it is read from the server's own recipe, loot and world-generation data, so it is correct for this server rather than a generic wiki. A web version is at studioshawn.net/pack/codex/.

  • Rumination and Cog read the same index. Ask either one where to find something, or what the odds are, and you get the numbers the Codex shows in game.

New systems

  • /companion: pick a baby-mob companion that follows you around. Choose its breed, set its size and give it a name; humanoid companions wear armour you hand them.

  • Trade Shops: place a shop, set an item-for-item trade, stock it from a chest, and it trades on your behalf while you are offline.

    • There is no currency and never will be. Every trade is a straight barter, and any item counts, custom items included.
    • Each shop keeps a full history of what sold for what, and that history follows you rather than the block.
  • /mail: send messages and item parcels to players who are offline.

  • /settings: per-player toggles for the saturation bar, dynamic lights, and whether your name appears in the Discord online list.

  • Graves: dying leaves a grave holding your items instead of scattering them across the ground.

Tools and quality of life

  • VeinMiner: sneak while mining an ore and the whole vein comes with it. Ores only; it costs durability and a little hunger.

  • FallingTree: sneak while chopping with an axe and the whole tree falls at once.

    • Your axe has to survive the entire tree, so a wooden axe still cannot fell a mega spruce.
  • Item information without mods: durability, mob health, crop growth stages and more display for everyone, on Java and Bedrock, with nothing to install.

Fixes

  • A world-generation fault that could hang the server is fixed. It was rare and awkward to trigger, but it could freeze the world while new terrain generated.

  • Six items were invisible to Bedrock players: apple cider, hot cocoa, melon juice, the lunch box, the picnic basket and the paper bag. All six now display.

    • Their models cannot be reduced to a single flat Bedrock icon, so each uses a stand-in image, and the item's description says which item it is.

Performance

  • The server has moved to new hardware. It starts in under three seconds with 337 mods loaded, and holds up far better with several players online.

  • The world is being pregenerated across a 10,000 by 10,000-block area in every dimension, so exploring no longer stutters while terrain is built.

    • Pregeneration pauses automatically the moment anyone logs in and only runs while the server is empty, so it never costs you frames.
  • Old, never-visited terrain was cleared, shrinking the world from 187 GB to under 8 GB. Every player file, statistic and advancement came through untouched.

0.1.3Update

Food values on every food, and /settings

Every food's tooltip now shows the hunger and saturation it restores, the saturation bar is on for everyone, and a new /settings menu gathers personal toggles in one place.

Food values

  • Hover over any food to see how much hunger and saturation it restores: vanilla food, Farmer's Delight, Gone Fishing, Tasty Vanilla and every other food on the server. Previously only a handful of items showed this.

  • Saturation is the hidden buffer that drains before your hunger bar starts to move. Two foods can restore the same number of drumsticks while one keeps you full far longer; now you can see which.

  • Bedrock players see these values as plain, readable text instead of the coloured boxes that appeared before.

  • The numbers are each item's base values, so eating the same food repeatedly still restores less than the tooltip shows.

Saturation bar

  • The boss bar showing your current saturation is on by default for every player. It previously stayed hidden unless you knew an obscure command.

  • It shows one decimal place, so it visibly moves instead of appearing stuck on a whole number, and it no longer shows a stale value after being hidden.

/settings

  • /settings (or /options) opens a menu of personal switches. Click one to flip it; its icon and ON/OFF label update immediately.

  • It covers the saturation bar, dynamic lights (held torches and other light sources lighting up the world around you) and whether your name appears in the Discord online list.

  • Your choices are remembered between sessions, and every switch works on Bedrock as well as Java.

0.1.2Hotfix

Netherite armour trims display correctly

Fixes the missing-texture icon on armour trimmed with netherite.

Fixes

  • Armour trimmed with netherite no longer shows as a missing-texture block. Any armour piece with a netherite trim appeared in the inventory and in hand as the purple-and-black "missing model" cube. The armour itself was always fine: it protected normally and rendered correctly while worn. Every armour type was affected; other trim materials were not.

    • Existing netherite-trimmed gear was never damaged. Enchantments, durability and trims are intact, and it now displays properly.

Resource pack

  • The server's resource pack carries this fix, so your client downloads it again the next time you join. It is a small download and happens automatically.

0.1.1Update

Introducing /gamble

Stake one item for a 45% chance to double it.

The /gamble command

  • Hold any item and run /gamble to stake it. A menu opens with your item in the centre, a GAMBLE button on the left and a CANCEL button on the right.

  • Confirming gives a 45% chance to double the item and a 55% chance to lose it. Both odds are shown on the button.

  • Only one item is ever staked, even when you are holding a full stack.

  • Cancelling, closing the menu or disconnecting returns your item and does not start your cooldown.

Cooldown

  • Each roll costs 30 minutes of online playtime. Time spent offline does not count, so the wait is the same whether or not you stay logged in.

What cannot be staked

  • Anything with items inside it, such as a filled shulker box, bundle or lunch box, because a win would copy the contents too. Empty containers can be staked.

  • Mining hammers, lumber axes and excavators.

Notes

  • Winnings that do not fit in your inventory drop at your feet rather than being lost.

  • Every roll is recorded on the server, so any dispute about the odds can be checked.

  • This release was tested on Java. Bedrock players were asked to report anything that looked wrong with the menu.

0.1.0Major update

Gone Fishing and the Bedrock parity update

The largest patch since launch: a new fishing mod, near-complete visual parity between Java and Bedrock, and a long list of fixes. Java players receive the updated resource pack automatically the next time they join; no action is needed on either edition.

New: Gone Fishing

  • About 40 biome-themed fish, plus cooked dishes made from them.

  • Twelve loot crate tiers: Wooden, Iron, Golden and Diamond, plus biome specials (Frosted, Slimey, Supply and Gilded Blackstone) and rare crates: Astral (full moon only), Fiery and Soul (lava fishing in the Nether) and the End Crate.

  • Nine special rods with their own perks. Fireproof rods can fish in lava, which opens up lava fishing in the Nether; fishing also works in the End.

  • Deepfry, a new rod enchantment: catches come out already cooked.

  • Opening crates: on Java, right-click with the crate in hand; on Bedrock, hold the crate and keep sneaking for about a second.

    • Crates cannot be placed as blocks. Placed crates are invisible on Bedrock, so everyone opens them the same way.

Bedrock parity

  • 324 custom item mappings with real icons, including 40 fully rendered 3D item icons and 42 correctly tinted potions and tipped arrows, with the right names, colours and durations.

  • About 95 missing icons restored across Farmer's Delight, Rustic Delight, Ube's Delight, Tasty Vanilla and Additional Additions.

  • Stellarity potions show proper names and descriptions instead of raw item.stellarity.… keys.

  • Items displayed on tables, altars and stands in structures are now visible on Bedrock. Custom heads in Hopo's structures render correctly.

  • Enchantment tooltips show the gear each one applies to (about 91 enchantments), music discs show their artist and track, and album pages show their counters. Advancements and chat no longer show raw translation keys.

Fixes

  • Fixed an item duplication exploit involving Stellarity's block-placement refunds.

  • Creative inventory on Bedrock: items no longer disappear when moved in the Creative menu.

  • Loot pots: punching a decorated loot pot drops your own loot (every player gets their own roll); sneak and punch to break one. They previously appeared to be silently unbreakable.

  • Altitude (levitation on hit) now takes effect.

  • Removed doubled tooltip lines on Weaving Aspect and the Prismatic Pearl, de-duplicated the fried egg recipe, and fixed a number of smaller display issues.

Ask the assistants

  • Cog and Rumination know the whole update, including exact loot odds. Try !cog what's in a soul crate or !rumination crate odds in game or on Discord. About 17% of Soul Crates contain a netherite ingot.

Known limitations on Bedrock

  • These are limits of Geyser and the Bedrock engine; gameplay is unaffected.

    • Treasure maps show "Unknown Map" until picked up from a container.
    • The crafting recipe book shows item names without their descriptions.
    • Food cooking on stoves and cutting boards is not visible.
    • The cast animation is suppressed on fishing rods with custom icons.
0.0.16Hotfix

The nether roof on Bedrock

Makes the space above the nether ceiling work for Bedrock players.

Fixes

  • The nether roof now works for Bedrock players. Bedrock Edition caps the Nether at 128 blocks tall, so the space above the ceiling did not properly exist for Bedrock clients: blocks there did not render or respond, and players glitched on invisible ground. The server now works around the cap, and the roof renders and behaves the same as it does on Java.

    • The trade-off: Bedrock players see the Nether's red fog in every biome instead of each biome's own fog colour. Java players are unaffected.
0.0.15Update

Things to chase, things to fight

Seven additions that give survival more to aim for, and the assistants learn to read the server's statistics.

Things to chase

  • Structure Explorer records every structure you set foot in. /explorer shows your own discoveries, /explorer leaderboard ranks everyone, and the first player to reach each structure type is announced to the server.

  • Daily Quests: twenty-one objectives, refreshed each in-game morning, paying items and experience. /dq quests shows today's; you get one re-roll a day.

  • Re-vault: Trial Chamber vaults restock on a twelve-hour timer, tracked separately for each player, instead of once per player forever.

  • Lootr: loot containers in generated structures roll their contents per player, so arriving second no longer means arriving to an empty chest.

Things to fight

  • Wither Ascension: the Wither is rebuilt as a staged encounter with distinct abilities in each phase.

  • Dragon Egg Game: the dragon egg is indestructible and permanently tracked, wherever it is hidden. /dragon_egg bearer names whoever currently holds it.

  • Boss health bars can now be attached to entities.

Assistants

  • Cog and Rumination can read the server's statistics. Ask who has played longest, mined the most diamonds, died the most or traded the most, and they rank every player who has ever joined.

Fixes

  • Updated Moog's structure library, fixing a world-generation crash that could occur when flying or teleporting into new terrain.

0.0.14Update

Three area tools: Hammer, Lumber Axe and Excavator

The third-party hammer datapack is replaced by the server's own area tools, and each one breaks only its own kind of block.

Area tools

  • Hammer (pickaxe): mines a 3×3 of stone and ore.

  • Lumber Axe (axe), new: chops a 3×3 of wood.

  • Excavator (shovel), new: digs a 3×3 of earth.

  • Anything outside a tool's family, such as glass, wool or cobwebs, is never area-broken, and neither are chests, barrels, shulker boxes or any other container.

    • This ends the long-standing quirk where a hammer would dig dirt and chop wood.

Crafting

  • Wood through diamond: eight of the material around the matching vanilla tool. For example, eight diamond blocks around a diamond axe make a Diamond Lumber Axe. The wooden tier takes logs, and the stone tier takes Stone rather than Cobblestone.

  • Netherite: the tool's own vanilla shape in netherite blocks, plus two sticks. That is three blocks for the Hammer and the Lumber Axe, and one for the Excavator.

Carried over

  • Four durability per area swing, with nothing extra charged when nothing extra breaks.

  • Lava, water, portals, bedrock, spawners, vaults and budding amethyst are never broken.

  • Fortune and Silk Touch still apply across the whole area.

  • Netherite versions remain craft-only. A smithing upgrade is reverted, keeps your enchantments and refunds the ingot.

    • Hammers you already own keep their old name and description until recrafted, but they follow the new rules.
0.0.13Update

The assistants learn Stellarity

Cog and Rumination now cover every part of Stellarity, the End overhaul, answering from the server's own data.

Assistants

  • Ask either assistant anything about Stellarity: in game with !cog <question> for quick answers or !rumination <question> for in-depth ones, or on Discord. Answers are read from the server's own data, so they are accurate for this server rather than generic wiki guesses.

  • Void fishing: how to cast off the End islands into the void, what each biome yields, the rare Fisher of Voids rod, and the Crystal Heartfish that permanently adds hearts.

  • The two altars: the Altar of the Accursed (unlocked by defeating the Ender Dragon) for upgrading netherite into Hallowed, Champion, Shulker and Floral gear, imbuing the Void Pendant and forging legendary weapons; and the Altar of the Sacred for mineral buffs and summoning the Empress of Light.

  • The Hallow and transmutation: converting items in Hallow water (for example, an Iron Ingot into a Hallowed Ingot) and cauldron brewing with diluted Dragon's Breath.

  • Custom enchantments: all eight, with this server's balance values.

  • Everything else: Void Pendant gem powers, the Harvester soul sword and its abilities, Enderite gear, every armour set, the legendary weapons and spellbooks, the bosses, and the new End biomes and structures.

0.0.12Fixes

Security, fairness and hammer fixes

A stability, security and bug-fix release following a server-wide sweep of the custom systems.

Mining hammers

  • Netherite Hammers no longer revert to Diamond Hammers. A crafted Netherite Hammer now stays netherite; previously it was reverted every tick and only one ingot was refunded.

  • Hammers apply Fortune, Silk Touch and Looting to all nine blocks they break, not just the centre block.

  • Hammers no longer break or scatter nearby chests, barrels, shulker boxes, furnaces or other containers.

  • Smithing a Diamond Hammer up to netherite is still blocked. Craft the Netherite Hammer from three netherite blocks and two sticks.

Cross-play and Bedrock

  • Villager trade previews list enchantments in the correct order, for example "Thorns III (Armor)" instead of "Thorns (Armor) III".

  • Bedrock players can change their own chat prefix.

  • Fixed cases where eating or drinking was wrongly interrupted, or the wrong item's use was cancelled, for Bedrock players.

Enchantments

  • Knockback and Looting labels corrected to "(Swords & Spears)": they do not apply to axes. This corrects the label change in 0.0.7.

Security and fairness

  • Ore obfuscation (anti-X-ray) now applies fully to Bedrock players, in every chunk.

  • Closed an exploit that could reveal nearby mobs and players through walls.

  • /rtp is removed. The intended ways to travel are /home and /tpa; random teleport could also be used to escape fights.

Reliability

  • In-game /bugreport and /suggestions are more robust: reports are kept if Discord is briefly unavailable, and are protected against spam.

  • Numerous stability, performance and safety improvements across the server's custom mods and tools.

0.0.11Fixes

Bedrock display fixes

Modded items that looked blank or unknown on Bedrock now show proper stand-ins. Java players are unaffected.

Bedrock display

  • Modded items that appeared blank or as unknown blocks on Bedrock now display as matching vanilla stand-ins with their proper names: the full terracotta stairs, slab and wall set, rope, the cooking pot, canvas rugs, rope fences and gates, the skillet and the barometer. This applies everywhere items appear, including /polydex, inventories and containers.

  • Held items match their placed appearance; for example, rope shows as vines both in hand and when placed.

  • Copper patina renders correctly for Bedrock players.

  • Menus no longer briefly show items without their Bedrock-compatible appearance while updating.

  • Tools shown with a stand-in icon display their durability and enchantments.

  • Fixed: moving stand-in items in Creative mode could permanently turn them into their vanilla counterparts.

0.0.10Update

Mining hammers rebuilt

The 3×3 area break now lands exactly where you mine, and every hammer tier has a new look.

Mining hammers

  • The 3×3 area break is reworked. It is centred exactly on the block you are mining, with no more breaking a block too deep or off to one side, and it carves a proper 3×3 tunnel when you dig straight ahead.

  • A new look for every hammer. Wooden, Stone, Copper, Iron, Golden, Diamond and Netherite hammers each display as their own glowing pickaxe instead of the old mace model, with a gradient name and a rarity from Common up to Legendary.

    • Hammers you already own keep their old appearance; craft a new one to get the new look.

Hammer durability, Blunt and Voided corrected

A balance and stability update with cross-play and reliability improvements.

Mining hammers

  • Durability corrected. Hammers were wearing out about three times faster than intended; they now last about a quarter as long as a normal pickaxe of the same tier, as designed.

  • Nether Gold Ore no longer wears the hammer down, and triggers its effect, twice. It now behaves like every other block.

  • Hammers can no longer destroy end gateways, spawners, trial spawners, vaults or budding amethyst, matching the existing protection for lava, portals and bedrock.

Enchantments

  • Blunt applies its bonus damage against targets wearing leggings or boots, not only helmets and chestplates.

  • Voided: its Wither now lasts the full duration of the debuff (a dragon-inflicted Voided withers for its full length), and the effect is visible with particles.

Artifacts

  • Sentry's Wrath (Incendium) no longer harms your tamed pets, villagers or iron golems caught in its blast.

Cross-play and reliability

  • Improved Bedrock stability: a new safeguard stops certain modded items from disrupting a Bedrock player's connection.

  • Reports made in game with /bugreport and /suggestions are forwarded to staff automatically, so none are missed.

  • Reliability improvements to the Cog and Rumination assistants.

Dragonbane works, and the hammer safeguard is hardened

A continued stability and balance pass following a comprehensive review of the server's systems.

Enchantments

  • Dragonbane (Dragonkind Evolved) deals its bonus damage to the Ender Dragon. The enchantment was inactive and had no effect in combat.

  • Dragon Lungs stacks with Aqua Affinity and Respiration on the same helmet, instead of overriding them.

Mining hammers

  • The smithing safeguard is hardened further. Netherite upgrades at a smithing table are still reverted, keep the hammer's enchantments and refund the ingot, but the refund is now issued only after the hammer has been safely restored, closing a rare edge case. Hammers must be crafted with three netherite blocks. (Follows 0.0.6.)

Discord and the assistants

  • The "Report a Bug" and "Suggest an Idea" forms show a clear error if a ticket cannot be opened, instead of waiting indefinitely.

  • Further reliability and safety improvements to Cog and Rumination.

Stability and fixes

A stability and bug-fix release following a full review of the server's custom content.

Items and crafting

  • Cabbage from Tasty Vanilla works in every cabbage recipe: Cabbage Rolls, Dumplings, Grilled Salmon, Chicken Salad and Bulalo. Previously only the Farmer's Delight cabbage was accepted.

Enchantments

  • Soaring and Plated (elytra enchantments) take effect while the elytra is worn; they were inactive.

  • Knockback and Looting tooltips indicate they also apply to axes and other melee weapons, not only swords and spears.

  • Three boss enchantments showed a raw internal label instead of their name; corrected.

Artifacts

  • Sentry's Wrath (Incendium) no longer harms you or nearby players with its explosion, and its knockback pushes enemies away from the blast instead of in a random direction.

Performance and fixes

  • A legacy creeper check now runs periodically instead of every tick, reducing server load.

  • The excess-item sweep message appears only when items are actually cleared.

  • Removed a set of console errors caused by the fried egg recipe clean-up (no gameplay change).

  • Bedrock players can reliably link their account (!link, then !verify) regardless of the Floodgate name prefix, and the assistants received several smaller reliability fixes.

0.0.6Update

The Chicken Nugget becomes a rare treat

The Chicken Nugget is reworked into a rare, powerful food, reverted hammers keep their enchantments, and a suggestion form and exact drop chances arrive for the assistants.

Food

  • The Chicken Nugget, a rare drop from creepers and zombies, is now a premium consumable. Eating one restores 20 hunger (ten drumsticks) and 20 saturation, and grants a full extra row of hearts (Absorption), Speed II and Resistance, all for five seconds.

    • To keep it special, nuggets no longer stack, and they drop from about 1 in 500 kills, improved by Looting.

Fixes

  • The mining hammer smithing safeguard now keeps the hammer's enchantments. Netherite upgrades at a smithing table are still reverted, and the netherite ingot refunded, because hammers must be crafted with three netherite blocks; previously the enchantments were lost.

Discord and the assistants

  • Suggestions: the "Suggest an Idea" button in the new #suggestions channel sends your idea privately to the staff for review.

  • Exact drop chances: ask Cog or Rumination something like "what is the drop chance of a wither skeleton skull?" and they answer from the server's real, current loot tables.

0.0.5Update

Cog and Rumination arrive on Discord

The server's AI assistants are now available on Discord, account linking connects a Discord account to a Minecraft player, and bug reports move to a structured ticket form.

Discord

  • Cog and Rumination answer questions in #bot-commands as well as in game: Cog for quick questions, Rumination for more involved ones. Both can look up recipes, items, mobs and loot for this modpack.

  • Account linking is required to use the assistants on Discord. Type !link <your Minecraft name> in Discord; the bot replies with a code, which you type in Minecraft chat as !verify <code>. Because the code is confirmed in game, only you can link your own account. Once linked, the assistants can also report your playtime, statistics and last death location.

  • Bug-report tickets: the "Report a Bug" button in #bug-reports opens a private ticket that asks for a summary, steps to reproduce, the expected and actual behaviour, and your in-game name and platform. It replaces free-form reports and helps issues get resolved faster.

In game

  • Added the !verify chat command, used to confirm a Discord account link.

Spear labels and a larger pregenerated world

Corrects several enchantment labels, accounts for spears (new in Minecraft 26.x), and extends world pregeneration to 30,000 blocks.

Enchantments

  • Lunge reads "(Spears)" instead of repeating its own name, and Sweeping Edge reads "(Swords)".

  • Labels now account for spears: Sharpness, Ambush, Critical Strike and Blunt read "(Swords, Spears & Axes)"; Knockback, Looting and Wingspan read "(Swords & Spears)"; Fire Aspect and Weaving Aspect read "(Swords, Spears & Maces)".

World

  • Pregeneration now covers a radius of 30,000 blocks in the Overworld, the Nether and the End. It runs only while the server is empty and pauses the moment a player joins, so exploring within that range becomes steadily smoother as it completes.

0.0.3Update

Readable enchantments on both editions

Enchantment tooltips become consistent and readable on Java and Bedrock, several inventory and anvil defects are fixed, and crops that exist in two mods become interchangeable.

Enchantments

  • Tooltips read name, level, then equipment, for example "Feather Falling IV (Boots)". Previously the level came after the equipment label.

  • Item-bound enchantments on special weapons and artifacts (Daybroken, Draconic, Infernal Infusion, Mighty Wind, Soul Harvest, the Void Pendant tiers and others) also show the equipment they apply to.

  • Bedrock players can read modded enchantment names and levels on their items; these were previously invisible on Bedrock.

Fixes

  • Combining certain enchanted books in an anvil no longer produces items with duplicated or missing enchantment lines (reported with Sweeping Edge and Unbreaking).

  • Moving items between containers, or out of an anvil, no longer leaves a "ghost" item on the cursor.

  • Duplicate ingredients are interchangeable. Tomato, Onion, Cabbage and the Fried Egg each exist in two mods. Every recipe, including the Loaded Hamburger, now accepts either variant; previously only one was accepted, with no visible way to tell them apart.

World

  • Pregeneration is complete for the Overworld and the Nether, so chunk loading while exploring is substantially smoother. The End is in progress.

0.0.2Update

Explosions, hammer rules and one home per player

Explosions stop damaging terrain, creepers hurt again, the hammer recipe builds on the matching pickaxe, and homes are limited to one per player. Changes that affect existing items apply retroactively.

Explosions

  • Creeper explosions damage players and mobs again; a defect had made them harmless.

  • No explosion damages blocks. Creepers, ghast fireballs, TNT, beds and end crystals leave terrain intact but still damage entities. Villager farming is unaffected.

Mining hammers

  • Recipe: the vanilla pickaxe of the matching tier in the centre, surrounded by eight blocks of the material (previously a stick). The netherite hammer is unchanged: three netherite blocks and two sticks.

  • Durability: each 3×3 swing costs 4 durability in total (the usual 1 plus a 3-point surcharge), so a hammer performs a quarter of its pickaxe's swings: about 390 area swings for diamond and 507 for netherite.

  • No smithing upgrades. Upgrading a diamond hammer to netherite at a smithing table is reverted automatically: the hammer returns to diamond and the netherite ingot is refunded. Netherite hammers must be crafted.

Homes

  • /sethome allows one home per player. Players who have several homes from before this change must /delhome down to one before setting a new home.

Interface

  • Every enchantment shows the equipment it applies to as part of its name, for example "Ambush (Swords)". On Bedrock this applies to modded enchantments only.

  • The tab list shows each player's rank and ping.

  • Items that appear as placeholder blocks or icons for Bedrock players carry the same label on Java, describing what Bedrock players see in their place.

Fixes

  • The Fried Egg is craftable again. Two mods registered identical cooking recipes, which disabled both. The duplicate was removed, and the Farmer's Delight fried egg is now the only version.

0.0.1Balance

Enchantment balance and craftable mining hammers

The first balance pass: eight enchantments are brought in line with the rest of the game, Wingspan is fixed, and mining hammers gain a crafting recipe and a durability cost for area mining. All changes are retroactive: items players already own use the new values.

Enchantments

  • Dragonhearted (armour) grants +0.5 hearts per level per armour piece (previously +1). A full Dragonhearted III set now grants +6 hearts in total (previously +12).

  • Ambush (swords): the damage multiplier is ×1.2 / ×1.4 / ×1.5 by level (previously ×1.5 / ×2.0 / ×2.5). It remains compatible with Sharpness.

  • Levitation Shot (bows) triggers on 8–20% of arrows across levels I–V (previously 15–37%), and levitation lasts 2–4 seconds (previously 6–9).

  • Void Strike and Void Shot (weapons) still reduce the target's maximum health by 20% for 8 seconds on hit. The Wither they apply now affects mobs only; players are no longer withered.

  • Light (armour) gives +5% / +10% movement speed per armour piece (previously +30% / +60%). A full Light II set is now roughly equal to Speed II.

  • Ghasted (crossbows): its fireballs no longer break blocks or start fires. Direct-hit damage is unchanged, and naturally spawning ghasts are not affected.

  • Crystal Curse (weapons) adds +10 damage per hit (previously +20). It is still a curse: incompatible with Mending, and it cannot be repaired at an anvil.

  • Blunt (melee weapons) deals 0–6 bonus damage against armoured targets (previously 0–10).

Fixes

  • Wingspan (melee weapons) had no effect at all. It now increases sweep damage from 25% of the attack at level I up to 85% at level V, and remains mutually exclusive with Sweeping Edge.

Mining hammers

  • Recipe: eight blocks of the matching material around one stick, for the wood, stone, copper, iron, gold and diamond tiers. The netherite hammer is unchanged: three netherite blocks and two sticks.

  • Durability: each 3×3 swing costs about 2% of the hammer's maximum durability on top of normal wear, which gives roughly 50 area swings per hammer.

  • Area mining never breaks lava, water, portals or bedrock.
